1mb/s in area 31

Turning to this forum after 3 months of issues and no joy from customer support who keep telling me they've fixed my issue or it will be fixed in June. Daytime is fine with 50mb/s dl speed but come 6:30pm and we get less than 1 and 2 mb/s making streaming tv impossible. Anyone else in area 31 experiencing issues?

I have not done methodical speed tests but also see significant slow down in the evenings in area 31.

Thanks for the response vircom. Are you able to watch tv ok? Does it pixelate?

I get occasional pixelation but most of the time the TV is fine.

Alas you are not alone. I posted here http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Speed/Let-s-make-a-noise-area-31/td-p/3358584 but you'll see many others with the same issue in area 31.

Virgin - are you going to do something about this or are you going to keep promosing fixes which never come?

Really sorry to hear about the slow speeds you're experiencing. I've checked this and I can see the speed reduction is caused by a fault in your area under ref: F003980990 which is due for review on the 7th June. Please note this is a review date, when we can expect the fault ticket to be updated to inform us of the latest progress and status.

I know this is really frustrating and I wish I had better news for you.

I will be buying a 3 dongle to get me through to June and won't be renewing my contract with Virgin when it comes due. 7 months is a long time to fix a fault. Anyone know how to stop following someone (Richard Branson) on LinkedIn?
