You are not wrong. SNR is also getting a little low although still above threshold so agree worth keeping an eye on. max360 did speak of problems at peak times only so overall I would think his issue is area over-utilisation.
Approx how many pre RS errors did you accumulate and for how long? Did you notice it impact the connection at all? Can't see any reason for it from here sorry.
So sorry about the slow speeds, there seem to be a couple of issues affecting your connection.
The first is area over-utilisation at peak times. We area aware of this ref F002911903 and would like to do some upgrade work but have no firm dates at the moment. The review data is 18 MAR 2015 although please feel free to ask for an update any time and give us a call to discuss a loss of service credit.
Also I notice that your upstream power levels are too low
VM SUPER HUB 2 Upstream 0 27.3 dBmV
VM SUPER HUB 2 Upstream 1 26.8 dBmV
I think it is best we let an engineer take a look as this may impact speed and stability of the connection too.
I will send you a private message to arrange an appointment.
I can see that the low upstream power levels have been resolved since the engineer visit and it looks like you may have a nice new hub
I just thought I would make you aware that we have an issue with low SNR, ie noise on the area upstreams at the moment sorry F003512655. This is of an intermittent nature and may impact your speeds etc. We are doing our best to locate and fix it, the estimated date is 04 FEB 2015.
yes thanks. the engineer that came round was very good, kept me well informed and was thorough. My modem had a fault and was replaced plus he pointed out the network fault that was affecting my upstream levels.
