15 MONTHS OF SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW BROWSING

Dear Virgin Media,

Dear Me, Where to Start?

Since July 15, I have been at the mercy of a Near Full Capacity Network Cabinet (99.1%) according to your you chums on the phone, It is now December 2016, and I still getting very slow speeds, on Average 4 meg download, which is great until I state that I Pay for 150 meg broadband, over the last 12 months I have had countless credits applied to our account, countless engineer visits and numerous phone calls to those calling themselves support (More like:- I am reading from a script). Yes, you can ask me to turn it off and turn it on again, change the channel, do speed test etc etc etc just answer me this question when is this going to get fixed? will I ever see 150 meg again? We both work from home, and yes I know this is a domestic service, however, your business department couldn't offer a solution so I am stuck, and BT Infinity hasn't reach this part of Wigan Yet, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than deal with BT

I am an I.T Network Specialist by Trade, Microsoft, Cisco and HPE Qualified, I can do more that turn it off and turn it on again

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Looking forward to your Corporate Smoozy Reply that sound all very nice and fuzzy, and the email will say a lot without actually saying anything, there must a Virgin Media Training course for that i think

Regards

Mark T & Maxine M

Re: 15 MONTHS OF SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW BROWSING

Just another 15+ months to go then you would of caught up with the rest of us Smiley Wink, get ready for review dates, and they come in bucket loads.

On a serious note, join up and take readings from speedtest.net, create an account with thinkbroadband and set up a network quality monitor, make an official complaint with Virgin Media: How to complain then after 8 weeks if its not resolved take it to CISAS: CISAS.

Keep all tests and communications to file with CISAS, the more evidence the better.

BTW If the connection cannot be sorted it won't be, but CISAS will award you with better compensation than the dribble you get from VM.

Just follow VM's procedure to the letter and you cannot go wrong.

But being an I.T Network Specialist by Trade, Microsoft, Cisco and HPE Qualified person, you knew that anyway Smiley Tongue

Good luck

Re: 15 MONTHS OF SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW BROWSING

My area has been oversubscribed since before Nov 2014. A new review date of April 2017. This wont be solved any time soon!

There's no transparency at all with Virgin. It's a shambles. I spend enough time at work dealing with Networks don't want to then have to chase an ISP. It's an utter joke of a service.

Don't offer speed upgrade if your backbone links cant handle the traffic.
