1.5mbps on a supposedly 150mbps line

Hi,

I don't think ive ever had good broadband speeds since i signed up with virgin months ago but recently and not for the first time its been pretty bad.

Sometimes i even get the cant connect screen.  I did a speed test on speedtest.net and got download speed of 1.59mbps and upload speed of 0.36mbps.

I am using wifi but i know the wifi signal from my laptop is fine because i can connect to my neighbors broadband and get descent speeds, who incidentally also has virgin media.

here is the info from my superhub, i would be grateful for any advice.

Thanks.

Re: 1.5mbps on a supposedly 150mbps line

Your connection to VM's servers is borked.

You are only on one downstream channel and one upstream channel.

I take it you have rebooted the SH.

You will need to contact VM for resolution, either by waiting here a few days until a VM Forum Team Member picks up the thread, or give them a call on 150 from a VM line or 0345 454 1111 for a quicker response.

Re: 1.5mbps on a supposedly 150mbps line

Hi there izzyron,

Thanks for posting and a warm welcome to the community.

My apologies that you are having issues with your broadband connection.

Looking at your connection, the downstream and upstream channels are now fully locked on and within range, which is good.

Have you noticed an improvement with the broadband at all?

If so, are you able to complete a speed test through a wired connection please?

Let us know how you get on

Sam
