Same issue in area 12, Virgin still denying a problem in the area, like talking to a brick wall, insisting I wait until Tuesday to replace my router even though my neighbour has exactly the same fault.
Update: Please call VM! Spoke to VM again, if people experiencing the fault could call them it will get the problem flagged and they will get more information so it can be fixed, the problem is a lot of people aren't calling, like my neighbour for instance, he only uses the Internet occasionally and for him 2 megabits is fine, he said he thought it was slow, but he wasn't really even bothered, ran a speedtest and he has exactly the same fault, with a normal 12 megabit upload speed, same as myself. So if people here could contact VM it would be helpful for all of us. Thank you!
Update 2: Speed increased from around 2 meg to around 6 meg on my 200 meg broadband (I usually get 200 meg too), this is almost certainly because it's getting late and less people are using the impaired internet, not because the problem is being resolved. It will probably get better still into the early hours and then will die again at busier times unless it's fixed.
Update 3: Speed gradually increased from 2 meg to 6 meg to 20 meg and now 100 meg now it's 3.30am in the morning. This isn't just an overload issue however as was getting speeds of 200 meg constantly 24/7 a couple of days ago. Will most likely get a speed of 1 meg again tomorrow, still need as many people to call VM to report it as possible so they will treat it as an area fault which it is and also so they can collect information.
Same area here, same problem. Should be on 200Mbps, getting on average about 2Mbps; often slower than 0.5Mbps, rarely higher than 4Mbps. I somehow managed to get up to 90Mbps for about 20 minutes at about 10:30 last night, but it's been back down to near useless speeds since.
It all started on Tuesday morning. VM were doing some "improvement and upgrade" work in the area. Only they didn't really improve anything - they just made it worse than it's ever been.
Actually got up to 200 megabits at around 6am, but starting to getting slower again at 60 megabits now on Area 12, expecting this to get worse until it's around 2 megabit again later. It's not fixed (this isn't just normal overloading as it was find and this happened suddenly).
