SuperHub 2 has been compromised.

My anti-virus has flagged up my router as being compromised. When I try to sign in it tells me my password is wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: SuperHub 2 has been compromised.

Pinhole reset your hub, see here https://help.virginmedia.com/system/templates/selfservice/vm/help/customer/locale/en-GB/portal/20030... to revert to original settings.

Be aware that any changes you have made to the router settings will be lost and will have to be reinstated.

Re: SuperHub 2 has been compromised.

no idea what your AV program is seeing or how it thinks the router has been compromised - if the password is wrong then have you changed it in the past - if so are you sure you are typing the right password - if you are it may be that the router has reset and reverted to the original password

Re: SuperHub 2 has been compromised.

Thanks for quick reply. It's Avast AV and it's saying that my router has weak password that is probably default and that router is compromised. It's right about password as it can show me it.That's why I'm worried about router. I did change password so I can't be sure if I'm using the right one.I've tied every p/w that I can think of.I would be grateful of any assistance.

Re: SuperHub 2 has been compromised.

if you cannot remember the password assuming you have changed it press and hold the reset button for a good 30sec - that will take the settings back to default - any and all settings you have changed will be lost - the login and wifi passwords are then on the label on the base of the router - log in with those and change them to anything you want

Default password is changeme and is also printed on underside of hub. Changing the password may help resolve AV alert issue, Changing your Virgin Media Hub's settings page password
