Re: How To Report A Phishing Email

I received an phishing email this morning, very professional, "Your latest Virgin Media bill cannot be processed".

Reading the posts on the board I would say that this is a major assault on Virgin Media.

If Virgin Media have any interest at all you can contact me, and I will forward the hyperlink to you, but I will not hold my breath...

Re: How To Report A Phishing Email

there is very little you can do to stop phishing attempts other than educate people how to recognize them.

That's the one I received.Almost got caught out with it as I have just cancelled my contract with Virgin and thought there had been a cross over of information.

Re: How To Report A Phishing Email

Reference my early post about the phishing email I received this morning, I contacted the senders web domain and reported him for abuse with the phishing hyperlink plus screen shots.

Re: How To Report A Phishing Email

as i said though that will not stop them. Changes are it wasn't the person you just reported and may of been a hacked account. If that gets closed it will just get sent with one of millions of others. Good luck in the hunt to shut them all down Smiley Wink

Re: How To Report A Phishing Email

Well aware they won't be stopped.  All I wanted to know was; who do I report Phishing to?  The email I received was not listed on the forum I looked at for known Phishing emails, so I just wanted to pass on details of what seems to be a new one.  It seems that VM don't bother to look at their forums from one month to the next.  So, please, I just want an answer to my question.

Re: How To Report A Phishing Email

Using this link http://netreport.virginmedia.com/netreport/ to make a report, is as much use as searching the internet for a book by Miguel de Cervantes

about a donkey called xote.
