Docusign email

I have recently ordered a package from VM.

Tonight I have just received an email from Virgin Media via DocuSign. It explains I can sign my contract online. The link in the email goes to DocuSign website and not Virgin Media.

Is is this a legit email? Do Virgin use this method?

thank you.

Re: Docusign email

I'm not sure one hundred percent but I think it's a phishing email. I would not reply.

Re: Docusign email

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I should mention that it contained my first name and looks very good. I was just concerned that the link contained in the mail doesn't go to Virgin Media website.

It it would be good if Virgin could confirm whether this method is used. A note or link in our VM online account would be helpful.

But do VM send these out via Docusign?

Re: Docusign email

I'm going to ask the @ForumTeam to respond, but I will say that as Ben works for Virgin, I'd be suspicious of the mail.

However Docusign themselves appear to be a legitimate company.

Here's their advice

https://trust.docusign.com/en-us/personal-safeguards/fraudulent-email-websites/

If the email doesn't have a security code then it's not genuine.  Even if it does appear to have one You should go directly to the Docusign site by entering the address manually in your browser and then paste in the security code.

Re: Docusign email

Thank you for all the advice.

The email contains my name. I have not had a phishing email that has done that before. This email looks genuine.

It does not contain a code, only a link button.

I have forwarded the email to Docusign to see if it is genuine.

In the mean time I think we need an official response from VM about this.

Re: Docusign email

Can I suggest you file a report here

http://netreport.virginmedia.com using the category Phishing attempt.

The Forum Team will get to the thread, but they will suggest that you do this as well.

Re: Docusign email

I thought it would be easier than this to find out if VM use DocuSign!

This is the email...
