moving

Hi , I moved virgin media  hub from the sitting room to my room up .

It does not connect any more . Do I need to give it time for it to connect or I do not know . Is it  like reinstalling it again , like on a first day

Re: moving

the connection in the other room might not be connected. also modifying the cabling is against the t&c and moving it even if the other cable is connecting can change the power level and cause problems.

VM can instsall another cable point and move it but this has a £99 charge as its non fault related.

1. put it all back as it was. check that you've not broken anything!

2. try to trace the cabling from outside the house to all the places you think it may be connected.

it should be visible, virgin do not run cable under floor boards or behind plaster.

PS a photo of the working bit will help us see if it has a splitter attached, or a 2nd cable. and one of  what is on the wall outside
