Unresponsive browsing, packetloss, and high post RS errors

This started two days ago. Restart of the modem did not fix the issue. TV also shows minor hitching at times. Previous tech had to re-attach the external cabling to the house and bury the adapter underground due to it being yanked off the wall and damaged a few months ago. Perhaps that's where the problem is.

SS after a couple of mins of resetting the counters:

Re: Unresponsive browsing, packetloss, and high post RS errors

Your downstream SNR is a bit low on most of the downstream channels and the upstream is running a tad warm.

It is worth checking the coax cable for obvious signs of damage, kinks and all connectors are hand tight.

What exactly did the engineer bury? it is not a good idea to bury any joints as they would be prone to water ingress if not sealed properly.

You will need to contact VM for resolution, either by waiting here about a week until a VM Forum Team Member picks up the thread, or give them a call on 150 from a VM line or 0345 454 1111 for a quicker response. It looks like you mayneed an engineer revisit.

Hello Aj,

Thanks for posting Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear about your connection issues, I agree with griffin about your readings. Let's get an engineer out to investigate further. I'll drop you a PM (purple envelope, top right) to confirm a visit.

Speak with you very soon,

Take care.
