Finally decided to install the Superhub 3 from a 2 today.
Did the phone activation but despite sitting for over 3 hours watching flashing lights it did not do the initial setup. It looked like it was stuck in a cycle of trying to download firmware but kept failing and trying again. How long should the first time setup take?
When I called the support line all i got was try turning it off and on again. When that didn't get me out of this failed initial update cycle she booked an engineer for over a week away.
Does anyone have any suggestions why the Superhub 3 wont do the initial set up?
Turns out the call centre lady I spoke to hadn't switched over the system from the Hub 2 to the Hub 3. Telling me to try turning it on again was unhelpful and downright irritating. No need for an engineer as he couldn't have helped and would have been a waste of time.
It was also trying to send out data for a new customer despite me having had Virgin Cable for years.
Note to Virgin Media do something about call centre staff with poor knowledge clearly working from a script!
