Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Hello forum,

I've been using Hub V1 for some years without any issues but in the last months I've been experiencing irregular Hub restarts.

- daily restart/reset, at random times of the day and night (Hub lights go out)
- in the worst days, the multiple restarts happen in sequence
- Network log: T3 or T4 timeouts (Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received)

Details
- Hardware version 2.00
- Software version V2.39.02
- 3 devices using the Hub wireless

Network log on 2017-03-30Network log on 2017-03-30Can you check errors/levels on your side? Any network changes in my area?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Hello pjmrocha,

Thanks for posting and a warm welcome to the community Smiley Very Happy

Really sorry to hear about the problems with your Superhub, I initially thought about sending your a replacement but when I've tested your network I've noticed quite a few time-outs so I think it's best if I arrange for an engineer to call around.

I'll drop you a PM (purple envelope, top right) to arrange a visit.

Speak with you very soon,

Take care.

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Just my opinion

No1 shud have a superhub 1 now...plagued with issues...plus if its old it may play up.

Get a hub2ac.

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Hello Heather, team,

On April 6th I got a SMS message from the engineering team saying a network issue in my area was fixed.

Nevertheless my Hub restarted again 2 or 3 times since then at random times of the day, and without being heavily used.

Can you check again on your side? Thanks

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

it's probably time to send that SH! to the old hubs retirement home. frequent resets and restarts seems to be a feature of the ageing process so accept a newer one for free rather than hanging on until it completely dies

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Might be the Power adapter on its way out.

Can you test in modem mode or disable the wireless and no HomePlug Network Via Mains to test by wire

when you think its rebooting does the ready tick light start flashing?

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

@legacy1: all lights go out and the ready light (I assume it's the top one on V1 hub) starts blinking green. Once all is back to normal, the light goes blue as usual.

Do you suggest to test with a wired connection? Like this I can only have one device connected (rather than the usually 3). As this problem is random, don't know if by doing this we can get any conclusion.

When the problem happened this morning my laptop was off, which is the only device I can use for wired connections.

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Is the vent clear? Is the super hub on a desk? Is the power plug hot?

Re: Super Hub V1 restarts daily

Hub on the floor, well ventilated and plug is not hot. Hub itself a bit warm, but I guess that's normal.
