Broadband not working on computer hard-wired to router when switched on this morning (wireless to other units working fine). Was ok last night.
Diagnostics message reads "Local Area Connection" doesn't have valid IP configuration.
Tried a few things but don't want to do anything too drastic in case it makes matters worse.

I've run a diagnostic on your account and I can see an issue with your signal levels, both upstream and downstream. I'll need to send a technician to adjust these levels for you.
