Router disconnecting issue.

For the past couple of years I've been on "Modem mode" on the hub, connected to a Linksys wireless router with no problems.

The last few weeks the router has been getting disconnected from the internet 2 or 3 times a day meaning I have to re boot the router to reconnect.

Don't know if it's a hub or router problem......or both.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Can you post your Upstream and Downstream data so we can see if it's a problem with power levels.  Type 192.168.100.1 into your browser's URL to access the hub ... do NOT sign in, but click on Router Status to access the data.

Well they all look healthy enough.  The Upstream power levels are at the high end of the spec which is 51dBmV but certainly within it.  Might be worth keeping an eye on that in case they are intermittently straying beyond which might indicate an issue.

Router still being knocked off the internet at least twice a day.

Only started about a month ago.

Could it be a problem with the hub?

Don't know what else to try.

Afternoon bds1958,

 

Thanks for getting back to us.

 

From checking the connection, there has been time-outs reported within 17 days of the router being online. As these are not real time they could of happened on day one then nothing since. 

 

If you are still having disconnections, can you re-boot the router please and then post the network log from the router settings.

 

Have you tried a connection direct to the Super Hub without your Linksys router connected, to see if you get the same issue?

 

Also it may be worth creating a Broadband Quality Monitor as this will check the performance of the connection.
