Plugging telephone line into Hub 3.0

Hi there,

There are sockets on the back of the Hub 3.0 marked as 'telephone' but it does not fit a standard telephone cable plug.  How/where do a get an adaptor?

Thanks, Paul

Re: Plugging telephone line into Hub 3.0

I know at the moment under project lightning that whitburn and bathgate in West Lothian are getting the new fibre installed.and the phone line will be delivered through the router instead of virgin needing to put pits in to put telephone lines in and I've been told this by a virgin engineer today. You get a connector which plugs into the two rj11 plugs and on the other end you plug your normal phone in. It's the future I think.

Re: Plugging telephone line into Hub 3.0

Virgin providing their 'phone service solely via VOIP is a scary thought.  How the devil are we to contact them when the broadband fails?  Sadly my experience says it is WHEN rather than IF.  At the very least I'd hope (doubtless in vain) for an alternative number to 150 that isn't 08xxx.

There is already an alternative number - 0345 454 1111. This is covered by any phone plan minutes.

Also if you have a Virgin Mobile you can already call Customer Services for your Broadband, TV and Home Phone for free.
