Own Router

Hey,

I'm planning to replace my SH2 (into modem only mode) router with an RT-AC68U as personally speaking I don't see the ISP provided router to be up to par with today's tech standard and lacks features of an own provided router. Now I'm not a technophobe I'm just curious after a hard reset on the Asus router can I just plug and play and be done with it?

Regards,
muffin!Smiley Wink

Re: Own Router

When you put the SH2 into modem mode you will need to reboot it after and make sure to plug in the new router before you reboot it so the CMTS can pick up the new routers MAC. A default setup router may work out of the box or need to be setup. It will depend on the router.
