Outage in SN3?

Is there an issue with VM in that area at the moment?

All connectivity was down for around 2 hours this morning and since the service has been restored, the download speed has withered to just 1/10th of the paid for speed.

I currently pay for the 100mb package and I'm well aware with mitigating conditions of traffic, wired/wifi etc I wouldn't get the full 100mb to my device all the time, but I should be getting at least 60 on my laptop, but it registered a paltry 16.22mb when I tested it a few moments ago.

Below is my Down/Up Info from the Network Status page of my router

Plus my counters (T1,T2 etc)

Re: Outage in SN3?

I'm bumping this thread as I'm still having some issues.

Since the outage described above my speeds have improved, from 16 to 40 at best, but its still less than half of what I pay for.

When testing the best average speed I could get was about 33mbps on Wireless and 42 on Wired.

I have also noticed that my hub tends to struggle sometimes as all the lights save for the "ready" light, go out and then come back on, as if it was downloading an apocalypically large file.

Furthermore, upon checking my router via its IP address, I've discovered it struggles to log in (takes nearly 5 minutes some times).

My activity summary tells me I've downloaded in 6 days some 5TB of data. That is wholly wrong, as I; A) do not have anywhere near that amount of storage. B) know that in the last week I've downloaded maybe 15GB of content (approximatly 13GB in game form).

Anyone want to tell me whats going on? It's becoming a joke using this service now.

Re: Outage in SN3?

All the power levels look OK. The amount of data downloaded is a known bug so nothing to worry about.

Forum staff are taking over a week to reply at present, they reply to the oldest post first. By bumping you've just put yourself to the back of the queue.

Ah ok, well at least through the course of bumping, you've helped answer a couple of things for me. Thanks.

Re: Outage in SN3?

Hi DomoTerimo2,

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

My apologies that you are experiencing issues with your broadband connection.

I've managed to locate your account, the line and hub have come back as fine. There are no faults reported, no time-outs reported since the router has been online and the traffic on the network is running stable.

Have you noticed an improvement with the speeds since you posted at all? Or any disconnections?

Are you able to complete speed tests whilst the Super Hub is in modem mode at different times of the day please?

If you get chance, you can create a Broadband Quality Monitor as this will check the broadband performance.

Let me know how you get on

Sam
