No connection for 2+ days.

Connection down since Thurs (8th) morning. Intermittent connection with packet loss on Thurs night for 2 hours. Completely down at all other times. Telephone is also down. TV still works but has poor signal. Person over the phone found no issue and called an engineer to visit after 3 days. 3 days of wait with no connection over the weekend... not happy. Downstream power levels -13 to -20. Currently locked to -13. Modem status shows access as 'Denied'

Re: No connection for 2+ days.

your power levels is too low you need that sorting thats maybe the reason its like that and keep a eye on your power levels from now on if you report it sooner it can be sorted out faster with someone coming out now it will take longer to get the power levels up again with someone come out too

Re: No connection for 2+ days.

Callout was made on Thurs lunch time. Technician is due Sun afternoon.

I don't understand how the power levels suddenly shifted. Is it the a technician making a closed eye cabinet power change for a neighbour which has affected us? We're not happy with the phone line being down too since it's connected to our home security system.

There was a 3dB forward path attenuator attached when all was fine.

Also, the person I talked to over the phone on Fri evening was rather rude.

Re: No connection for 2+ days.

Turns out that somebody or something (fox?) has pulled the cables from the box outside in the front garden.

I've updated the info to vm for the technician visit.
