Network Change detected-connection dropping in and out constantly

Hi we've been having issues with our broadband for the past week or so. Its constantly dropping in and out. When its up its fine speed wise but I cant go for more than 2 minutes without it dropping out. Ive been on there this morning, which isnt peak time and its driving me nuts. Can anything be done to sort it out? Thanks

Re: Network Change detected-connection dropping in and out constantly

Are you using a wired Ethernet connection to the VM hub or a wireless connection? Wireless is easily disrupted by a number of external factors, so knowing if a wired connection drops out is the best way to pinpoint if the issue is with the wireless or your line.

If you go to http://192.168.100.1/ to get the VM hub GUI. Don't login but instead click on Router Status which is either a button in the top right of the screen or a text link at the bottom of the screen depending on which hub you have. Click on the Downstream, Upstream and Network Log sections and copy & paste the figures from those screens and post them here. If you attach screen shots then they will not be visible to most of us until they are approved by a moderator so pasting text is better, don't worry about the formatting.

The community can have a look for you and see if anything in the figures looks wrong and advise accordingly. Or you can wait for the VM staff to pick up this thread in a few days and run checks on your line.

Thank you so much for spending the time to get back to me. Its still being awful this evening. I'm currently trying to get the 192. etc page up but its just constantly saying its loading and going round. It may not happen tonight! As soon as I do have the info I will get back to you :-)

Re: Network Change detected-connection dropping in and out constantly

Hi Blush2783,

Thank you for getting in touch! I appreciate you posting to let us know that you're internet is dropping in and out constantly. This must be frustrating for you so apologies for any troubles.

I have tested things from here and I can see that both of your upstream power levels are too high,  and there's a number of T3 time outs inside the Hub's logs, and I would like to arrange for an engineer to visit and investigate this further.

I will send you a PM (Purple envelope at the top) detailing what's required to proceed with making the booking. Please respond to me there and I'll ensure this all gets booked and secured for you.

Speak Soon,

Thanks,

Adam.

Re: Network Change detected-connection dropping in and out constantly

Hello there. I know I'm bumping an old thread here but I am having the same symptoms as this.

Connection seems unstable, constantly dropping out and in browser I get "Your connection was interrupted - A network change was detected". This occours at least once a minute, which makes it impossible to listen to a live radio stream, browse the web seamlessly without cutting out every 30 seconds or so...

A speed test was very unstable, it went as high as 60Mbps, dropped down to 10Mbps, back up, back down, you get the gist...

Anyhow, here are my upstream, downstream and logs as requested for the user who had this issue.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
