I pay for 100mb broadband (superhub 3) and have an ongoing issue for months. I have months worth of speedtest.net speed test results - these vary from 1Mbps to 110Mbps. My broadband speed is never consistent but mostly falls between 1 - 15Mbps.
Despite numerous calls and 3 engineer visits the issue has never been resolved. I've given up calling in to get help as each call is treated as a new issue and is never resolved. In a final act of desperation I've been looking at the network log file on the router. The log is full of 2 event types:
Lost MDD Timeout
RCS Partial Service
Can anyone help me understand what these mean, if these indicate a speed issue, and how to resolve my ongoing speed issues?
Just to add some context around my download speeds - today I've had the following results
This is fairly typical - speeds are erratic throughout the day and night. Small speed drops would normally not be noticed, but I constantly wait for web pages to load, videos to buffer, and VoIP calls stutter etc
I've just re-tested and your Hub is only locking on to a single upstream. CMTS checks reveal the upstream impairment, though there are no other issues at all on the upstream segment.
I propose that we get an engineer sent out to you, to check things over. If no fault is found we can escalate to Networks. Please reply to my PM (purple envelope icon, top right of page) and I'll schedule an appointment.
