Long lead time for installation

Seems like there are a few people with long lead times (two months ahead!).  I keep getting asked to call back to check for cancellations - anyone know the best number to call to get through to someone that will not just go by a script and actually send someone to look at how easy it would be to install.

also, do people know if VIrgin can just reconnect old NTL connections, which we already have against our walls and would save digging up any driveway.

Re: Long lead time for installation

You can call the UK based Retentions Team during normal office hours, so will have to wait until Monday.  0345 454 1111 and select the prompts 1  >  4  >  5  to 'Thinking of leaving us' ... they can deal with a lot more than just retentions.

From personal experience VM can use existing cables if they are still viable.  The installaton engineer should test whether the cable is useable or whether it has degraded over the years to make it a problem, in which case a new cable pull would be required ... and more delays.

Re: Long lead time for installation

Much appreciated.  I will give the freephone service centre on last chance on Monday morning and then call retentions (and cancel if installation can't be brought forwards!).
