Laptop no longer connecting to Superhub 2 & weird IP address

Wife's Win 10 laptop was working fine.

Myriad other devices all connecting fine.

Getting "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration error

Same fault on wireless.

Done an online search and it seems a fairly common problem but the fixes proposed either don't work or are unpalatable e.g. downloading dubious software.

Re: Laptop no longer connecting to Superhub 2 & weird IP address

Your answer ins invalid.

Do NOT follow this YouTube Video.

1. Virgin Media router IP Address is 192.168.0.1 so the Default Gateway.

2. IP range is invalid because of different subnet.

3. I may be wrong but whois database shows that Secondary DNS

218.248.240.23

Sounds strange ?

OK.

It worked.

If it is not the solution, what is?
