Wife's Win 10 laptop was working fine.
Myriad other devices all connecting fine.
Getting "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration error
Same fault on wireless.
Done an online search and it seems a fairly common problem but the fixes proposed either don't work or are unpalatable e.g. downloading dubious software.
Fixed it eventually using this youtube guide.
Your answer ins invalid.

1. Virgin Media router IP Address is 192.168.0.1 so the Default Gateway.
2. IP range is invalid because of different subnet.
3. I may be wrong but whois database shows that Secondary DNS
Sounds strange ?
If it is not the solution, what is?
