Internet dropping out at peak times

For months now I have experienced internet drop out at peak or popular times, done all the recommended fixes but still this problem persists.

I'm not sure, but I think I have a legal right to deduct a portion of my monthly bill as they are in breach of contract?

Any help please?

Re: Internet dropping out at peak times

Sadly they are not in breach of contract because they sell 'Up To' speeds with no guarantee of what speeds you will actually get.

It sounds like you are in an oversubscribed area with the classic evening over-utilisation when everyone arrives home.

You need to contact VM to try and negotiate a reduction.  Don't simply reduce your payments yourself or you will find yourself in the scenario of service cut off, claims for unpaid debt and a nasty credit rating.
