I think I got problems with my router

My virgin router is often slow it sometimes stops working at night and my downloads are at "5kb-22mb" when I have the "up to 200mb" speed

Re: I think I got problems with my router

Hi Guest789789,

Sincere apologies for your intermittently slow service, I promise I'll do what I can to discover the cause.
I must admit that my first thought was that of peak time congestion but tests reveal this to not be the case. There are also no errors/faults on the upstream segment and your Hub is reporting a healthy connection (in regards to power levels, timeouts etc).

For me to help with this I wonder if you'd mind doing the following:

  • Enable modem mode on your Hub.
  • Connect your pc or laptop directly to the Hub via Ethernet.
  • Run a couple of speed tests via speedtest.net
  • Post the results on here.

It's a good idea to include speed test results from when your connection is running at optimal speeds too, these can be used for comparison.

Many thanks Smiley Happy
