Green Flashing WiFi light on Superhub 3

Anyone know what this means? Internet works on both wired and wifi, but as of recently the WiFi light has been constantly flashing. Its driving me crazy as its catching my eye when watching TV lol

Re: Green Flashing WiFi light on Superhub 3

Hi Y2Stu,

Thanks for posting!

I am sorry to hear that you're having issues with a flashing green light on your Hub 3.0 I know this may be a little frustrating so apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I have tested things from here and I can see that both of your upstream power levels are too low and will require an engineer to attend and investigate things further for you.

I will send you a PM (Purple envelope at the top) detailing what's required to proceed with making the booking, please respond to me there and I'll get this all sorted for you.

Take care,

Thanks,

Adam.

Hi tonytango,

Thanks for letting us know that you're also having the same issues, I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I have had a look at your connection form here and I can see that you're only locking onto one upstream channel, an engineer will need to attend in order to resolve this for you.

I will send you a PM (purple envelope at the top) detailing what's required to proceed with making the booking. Please respond to me there and I'll get this all sorted for you.

Take care,

Thanks,

Adam.

Re: Green Flashing WiFi light on Superhub 3

It's worth understanding that there are two cases when the Wireless light on the Hub 3 will flash.

1/
When your main circuit is lost and WiFi cannot connect to the Internet.

2/
When everything is working OK but the bug or whatever is wrong with the Hub firmware causes the light to flash. I've seen this in 9.1.88T firmware but not 9.1.116v firmware.

You've definitely seen the bug on firmware 9.1.116v now as per our discussions in the other thread about my green wifi light flashing, even though wifi internet is still working fine!!

Re: Green Flashing WiFi light on Superhub 3

well the engineer has been and i don't know what he did but the light has gone out now

he pressed the wps button and it went out so we will see if it comes back on.

Re: Green Flashing WiFi light on Superhub 3

Then you appear to have "suffered" from the unpublished feature that when the Hub 3 thinks it's looking for a connection (which is what WPS is for), then it blinks. The bug, imo, in the firmware, is that it does this when you have not initiated any WPS activity.
