Council Flat Installation

My installation is due on 07/01/2017 and I'm afraid if I'm still eligible for the service.

I ordered the 50mb Broadband only package today,

I live on the 3rd floor on my flat [2bed]  ( London, Lambeth council )

I have 2 BT outlets

Will the Virgin engineer still be able to fit in internet to my home?

Re: Council Flat Installation

hiya @Wai2 welcome to the virignmedia community forum, I think virignmedia would need way leave (form http://store.virginmedia.com/content/dam/eSales/networkexpansion/Wayleave/access_agreement.pdf) from the local council since you don't own the property, also if greater height to install is greater than 50 feet need special engineers with health and safety at heights etc. since virginmedia wouldn't/shouldn't be touching your BT outlets since the virginmedia network is totally separate from BT

Re: Council Flat Installation

If i do sign the wayleave, do i need to send it to Virgin?
Since my flat is 50ft+ i think, where do i apply for the special engineers? Do they cost more?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Council Flat Installation

Hi,

Would you say this is 50ft, would it need a special engineer?

Thanks in advance Smiley Happy

Re: Council Flat Installation

Hi Wai2

Welcome to the community and thanks for dropping by with your post Smiley Happy

We don't charge for specialist engineers to attend for service installation, but we don't normally book specialist engineers for first time installation if the services are already pre wired. We would only need to book this if there is an issue with the current wiring there.

I'm going to take a look at this for you if you can get back to me on the pm I'm sending next to you. You can find this in the next to your forum name.

If you could get back to me on this that would be fab and I can check the job out in advance for you.

Cheers
