Can you take your broadband (without landline) with you if you move house?

OK, I'm thinking of signing up to get fibre broadband, have always used mobile 3g and tethering, or BT Fon, but my flat has poor to no BT signal and tethering eats up data. I don't know a lot about broadband, admittedly.

I'm not planning to stay in my flat long, certainly not a year which the broadband account would be, so wondering if I sign up for broadband without a landline, would I be able to take the contract/hub with me when I move?

Sorry if it sounds a stupid question, but I've never had a broadband contract before.

You can, BUT if you move to an area not covered by Virgins service you will have to pay a cancellation fee

I did. Don't want all my eggs in one basket.

Internet: VM

Phone: BT

TV: SKY

Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester)
Running on 200Mb VM service with SH2 AC in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-N66U router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk.
