Probably for the best. Based on my recent experience, not contacting the service desk is the way to prevent high blood pressure and premature ageing.
Realistically, no. If resetting the router hasn't made a difference the fault isn't likely to be under your control.
If you could call the service desk they'd only ask you to reboot the router. If you're lucky, they'll tell you there is a more general fault in the area and give you a scheduled date for the fix.

If you need to speak to our team, dial 150 from a Virgin Media landline or 0345 454 1111. Also, you don't need to be the account holder to report a fault.
