Broadband problems

Hi, I seem to be having problems with my broadband where it seems to be glitching. Once a week there seems to be a problem where it's as if it's dropping out all the time. I've been on my virgin and ran a test on each of these occasions it says there's a problem, although it doesn't say what the problem is. Anyways 10 minutes later restart and everything's great. One week later back to the same old problem. Before I phone virgin, I just wondered if anybody else has had this same problem? Thanks

Re: Broadband problems

hiya @Denty76 would need to run some check on the hub if you could goto http://192.168.0.1 clicking router status top right [no need to login] and if could copy/paste the downstream, upstream, network log this might show possible cause.

Re: Broadband problems

those are all showing perfectly fine, this would require a network check by the forum admin which can take around 5+ days to get reply, you could call back to broadband support via 151 / 0345 454 1111 online chat http://contact.virignmedia.com

could you also post the network log, or is that empty?

Re: Broadband problems

Hi Denty76,

Thanks for getting in touch, I hope you're well Smiley Very Happy

Sorry to hear about your broadband troubles, this can be frustrating.

I agree with paultechy that nothing obvious is standing out in error. I can see you're currently only using wireless devices, do you have the same troubles on your hard-wired connections?

Please get back to us so we can continue to investigate.

Take care.

Re: Broadband problems

Hi Denty76,

Thanks for the post! I am sorry to learn about your issues with your broadband glitching, I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I have run some tests from here and I can see that there's been quite a few T3 time outs occurring since you last rebooted your Hub, I would like to arrange for an engineer to attend and resolve this for you.

I will send you a PM (purple envelope at the top) detailing what's required in order to proceed with making the booking, please respond to me there and I'll get this all sorted for you.

Take care,

Thanks,

Adam.
