Hi Sandor,

Bizarrely area reference codes do not strictly follow geographic locations but are based on a complex history of billing by the various old companies that VirginMedia have acquired along the way.  So someone in the south of England could have the same area code as someone in the far north.

Do you have a contract document that contains it ... you are looking for a 2 or 3 digit number.

EDIT:  I must learn to type faster    Smiley LOL

We have a lot of people coming up with this question.  Why don't VM provide a lookup facility on the website?

Re: Area reference code!

If you have setup and can log into your VM account, the area reference is shown below your account number - well it is on mine anyway..

Hi Patrick.  The issue is that a lot of newcomers ask this question because they need their Area Code before they can create a MyVirginMedia account so it's a bit of a Catch 22 situation.
