hi
you have 2 options
ring 150 (free from a vm landline) option 2,3,2 explain the high pitch noise from the power adapter and ask for a new superhub
or alternativly you can wait here for 2-4 days for a member of staff to reply and send you a new superhub
when you receive the new superhub do not exchange and replace the superhub just the power adapter saves having to go though al lthe settings and activation all over again lol
hope this helps
Thanks

I would unplug it asap
Mine went bang today with horrible burning smell. Glad i was home to unplug it.
I called 150 as soon as it happened option 5 then option 2 and spoke to the UK team.. ( make sure you call between 9am and 5pm ) any later you will get the far East.

yeah i did read about that **bleep** scary stuff going on with them plugs someone should email netgear and tell them these plugs are dangerous or something

Just to be on the safe side for now i would unplug it when you are not going to be using it.
Scared the c**p out of me when it went bang, but what you will be told by the call team is you have to have a whole new hub and power supply. They do not just replace the power plug, seems daft really as that means a perfectly working hub will be sat here doing nothing. Luckily i have the old power supply from my wireless router that is netgear and matched the power needed for the hub or i would have no internet for the 3-5 days it will take to get one sent out to me... Then i have to call again and activate it.
Just be on the safe side..can't say anthing major will happen but if it does and your aware it could efffect any possible insurance claim.
