Opening the router control/admin panel

[ Edited ]

Hi,

As I understood, to access my router's admin panel I need to go to http://192.168.0.1 in a browser window. This however is producing long time outs and no access. I also tried 192.168.1.1 and 192.167.1.0 to no avail.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to access the admin panel if not via this IP address? I use a Mac, Firefox, a wired connection to a 50Mbps VM D-Link router.

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Forget it. Typically the very next time after trying, it worked. 192.168.0.1.

I dont know what all that was about!?

Hi mac963,

What type of the modem or router you are using ? More information about wireless routers can be found here .

Kind Regards,
