Finding password, username and service name

Hi,

Until recently I've been using a Belkin wireless modem router to connect to virgin ADSL broadband. However, this modem has just died, and so I'l lost all of my connection data.

I've bought a new modem (basically a newer version), but now I don't know how to find my username, password and service name. I've tried  MY_USERNAME@vigin.net  and MY_USERNAME@adsl.virgin.net together with the password I use to access my emails, but none of this works.

     Any thoughts or help?

Re: Finding password, username and service name

Settings for an ADSL connection through a telephone line.

Open a web browser and log onto your router.

Find Internet Wan > Connection Type.

Set the Router to use PPPoA, type in your User Name and Password in the spaces provided. If you do not have a Service Name or do not know it, leave the Service Name field blank. After you have typed in your information, click "Apply Changes". After you apply the changes, the Internet Status indicator will read "Connected" if your Router is set up properly.

WAN > Connection Type   PPPoA

User Name  > firstname.name@adsl.virgin.net (or virgin.com or whatever)

Password > *******

Retype Password > *******

VPI/VCI  >   0 /  38

Encapsulation > VC MUX

MTU  > Leave as Default

Find Internet Wan > DNS.

Select Automatic from ISP

(Virginmedia DNS servers are Primary: 194.168.4.100 Secondary: 194.168.8.100)

Find Lan Setup > Lan Settings

Ensure DHCP Server is set to On

I used to answer questions, but now I question instead. Guess why.
