Update 17/06/2014
If you are seeing a ‘Resolve an account conflict’ message when logging into Google services, then please read the below, otherwise click here for information about how to update your Google account with new username details.
Google have recently made some changes to the way you sign into their services.
Don't worry though, the way you sign into your email account and My Virgin Media will stay the same.
Following these changes, customers are no longer be able to sign into any Google service with any of the following Virgin Media Mail e-mail addresses:
@virgin.net @virginmedia.com
@blueyonder.co.uk @ntlworld.com
The services include YouTube, Drive, Chrome, Play, Talk, & Maps. To see a full list of Google services, click here: Google Products.
>If you do not use your Virgin Media provided email address for any of these services, then brilliant - no further action is required so you can put your feet up and watch some telly.
>If you do use your Virgin Media provided email address to sign into any Google services, then you will need to change the e-mail address you use with Google, and you have two options:
1. If you have an alternative e-mail address (that is not a Virgin Media or a Google address) you can simply change your primary address on Google.
2. If you do not have an alternative e-mail address you can add a new Google gmail address to your Google account.
Click here for step-by-step written instructions.
If you have any queries in the meantime, please just post a message in the Emails board.
Thank you.
