Changes to Pricing

From today we have started writing to our cable customers to let them know of any changes that affect them as part of our review of prices.

Letters and emails will be sent over the coming weeks.

Here are the details on what is changing:

  • Prices for the majority of customers will increase between £1.99 and £3.99. This means that, on average, customers’ prices will rise by 4.7% from November 2017.
  • The changes will take effect from November 2017 and some customers will start to see changes in their bills from October 2017.
  • We’ll be writing to our customers to explain these changes and will continue to make sure they can experience even more from Virgin Media.

    We do everything we can to balance keeping our prices competitive while investing to meet the ever-increasing appetite for broadband and content.

Online usage increased by more than 35% in the last year and streaming now accounts for nearly 60% of the total traffic on Virgin Media’s network.

We’re investing more in our ultrafast network to continue offering the UK’s fastest widely-available speeds.

This all comes on top of must-see TV programming – from Virgin TV Exclusives to the only place where you can watch all of the live football action from both Sky and BT Sport in a single package.

Delivering Connected Entertainment

To match our customers’ increased appetite for data we are investing in our broadband service to improve performance and reliability while delivering the fastest widely available speeds in the UK. With ultrafast connectivity of up to 300Mbps, Virgin Media offers speeds nearly four times faster than BT or Sky.

We continue to deliver the best connectivity to watch the best TV. We deliver connected entertainment – whether that is on a TV or on multiple devices around the home.
As well as the ability to watch ultra-high definition content and record up to six programmes at once with the Virgin TV V6 box, we give our customers access to a huge variety of programming including instant on-demand viewing.

Our customers have enjoyed more value from us over the last year including improved bundles and new state-of-the art equipment.
We will continue to invest to offer the very best broadband and best entertainment for our customers.
