my laptop will no longer connect to Virgin wifi. it is shown on the list of available networks but it will not accept the network security key, or the button on the router. sometimes it doesn't even ask for the key, it just asks for a username and password?
I can connect the laptop to wifi if I set up a mobile hotshot on my phone, just not via Virgin. also, other devices are happily using both 2g and 5g connections on the router
That's a strange one. Have you tried closing down the laptop completely and then reboot? You could also try right clicking on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar and use the network trouble-shooting routine (I've assumed you are using Windows).
