history of connected devices

Hey guys, is there any way I can check to see what devices have connected to the home Virgin Super Hub in the past few months, logs of some sort. Many thanks

Re: history of connected devices

Yes really.

It wasn't meant to be impolite, just the answer to your question is "no".

If there was a log held somewhere deep down in the firmware we could point you at it- but there isn't.

If you want to share the if's and's and but's of your situation we could maybe offer an alternate solution. But in simple terms it aint going to be pulling logs from the HUB.

Re: history of connected devices

Really? Pity, because it would be very useful to me right now.

Re: history of connected devices

Hi no it's ok no offence taken, I understood there was no way to recover the info I was after. So a simple no was spot on. Shame because I was hoping there maybe some sort of record showing history of connected devices. Convinced someone cannot connect, because they did not have the pass or key, nor had I given those details nor set up their device to automatically connect as claimed, that person was adamant they could and did. Would have been nice to be able show a log Smiley Happy

I am unable to test the device in question because they have broken the screen, demanded the Hub settings once they got a new device. Opened a can of worms. Smiley Sad

Take care Ian

Re: history of connected devices

not only is there no history- my hub 3 is back to claiming NO connected devices, NO reservations.... which is kinda illogical given that I am connected and typing

but the bug - which i complained about months ago - means I cannot add or edit reserved addresses, or see what IS connected, unless i risk rebooting the damn thing , which is too stressful to rashly do.in case it fails to come back on properly

it is actually, as I have said before that the search for connected devices, reservations etc times out, but instead of saying timed out ,the stupid firmware says no connections. see blow

anyone have a smarter workaround than kicking it until it works ?

Reserved IP addresses
DHCP lease table

Device name MAC address IP Address Lease time Connected to
No attached devices.
Add reserved rule
MAC address:::::
(example: **:**:**:**:**:**)

IP Address192.168.0.

Reserved list
MAC address IP Address Delete
No reserved rule!
