connecting router to SH3

I need to increase my wi-fi downstairs , the super hub 3 is upstairs , moving it is not a option that to how it is installed ,so what is the process for me to turn the SH3 into a modem and connect through a network cable a separate router downstairs

I have been looking at the ASUS

RT-N66U Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router

is you have a opinion on this router , please let me if there is a better one out for about £80

Thanks

Re: connecting router to SH3

router is good afaik - i run a similar setup but keep the hub3 in router mode and turn off DHCP on the asus - obviously lose features on the Asus but by doing that it keeps the lan ports working on the hub3 which with my setup is useful

Re: connecting router to SH3

So am I right in saying, all I need to do is connect the SH3 with a network cable to the ASUS ROUTER , put the SH3 in router mode and turn off the DHCP on the Asus , and I can still use the ports on the SH3 for internet , and use the ports on the Asus as the same , and then I will using the wireless on the Asus

Thanks
