Your broadband service is ridiculous

Our household has been with Virgin Media for years on end and we've always had flawless internet connection. However, sometime around June-July we upgraded our modum and router to a Virgin SuperFibre 50 due to the fact our router was getting quite old and we weren't getting as smooth connections. we were promised at LEAST 50mbps however for months on end we've been getting not even 1mb and it's appauling.

We've been complaining since September about this non stop and we've been ensured about this that our area needs some fixing and they will be coming to our area to fix the problem in December at a specific date.

After the date passed we received a message saying the internet problem was fixed and we should be experiencing fine service. However nothing at all was fixed and just more issues arose. Most of the members in our household require fast internet for work, school, gaming etc and it's impossible for us to use the internet sufficiently. Although this only occurs at nighttime after 7PM it's hard on us to use and we've called Virgin about this more times than there are skittles in a skittle bag.

Today was our breaking point in which we called roughly about an hour or two ago in which we talked to the same guy over and over about it in which we recently were told that we would get returned £34 for not being provided proper service on our December bill however now that bill has been pushed to £70 in April and they've lied to us telling us they haven't fully checked the area for problems and another search for the issue will be happening on April as well.

This was our last straw, we cannot put up with this BS anymore and we are considering leaving your broadband service as you've been of no help to us at all. If anyone could give some tips on what to do at this stage seeing as i'm frustrated with how we're being treated about this.

This will be contention, basically virgin have connected up more people than the bandwidth can handle, they are absolutely terrible with this, and any dates you are told will only be review dates where they say oh look its not very good, lets wait 3 months connect another 10 customers and see if it gets better... oh wait its even worse now, hmm another 3 months and 20 customers aught to fix it... oh dear everyone is upset now what do I do? Ok lets wait on average 18months / 2 years before we upgrade our infrastructure to actually be able to cope with the demands of the customers we provide.... you get the picture
