Wireless is unstable, disconnecting throughout a day

I have been using virgin media for a year and half, the disconnecting problem is always been an issue. Also, it is really frustrating that getting the same response time over time when calling 03454541111 ( they even hang up my phone when i was asking for an engineer to come over)

I have recently been upgrade to 200Mbps and really, not much difference from before and problems still exists.

In addition, i have run a few speed test on laptop and phone, the avg download speed is very unstable, within 30mins, the range varied from 2Mbps to 11Mbps.

 

Therefore, is there anyone can help me with that? It is very annoying when the network was down while i was watching video and playing online game.

The power levels would be best to see if there is anything obvious in the circuit.

Wireless is another proposition. If the power levels are OK, what happens to wireless when you are close to the hub? Is this a problem that could be house topology related or your neigbours are crowding in on your WiFi?

the wireless is still bad even i stay close to the hub with laptop. The router is not overcrowded( only connected to 3 iphones and 3 laptop) and im using a 200mbps router so i dont think that there is an overload.

Ok there are 2 possible issues.

wireless or your internet.

to identify which one it is, do you have the same problems with a wired connection ?

I have tried and the problem is still here.... my housemates are all experiencing the bad network, i have checked on a few speedtest website, the ping was around 500ms, download speed was 1.17Mbps... the problems applies the same on our iphone.. so its really annoying, especially at 8pm - 11pm, the network is the worst everyday at this time range

I have called the 03454541111 three times already, they say the router has no problem but they cant resolve the problem which is very disappointing

I've taken a look and I'm sorry to report that we have a fault in your area which can cause slow speeds during peak time hours. The fault ref is: F004800734 and it's due for review on the 5th April. The "further questions" ought to be:

What does "review on 5th April" mean?
When was the fault ticket opened?
Does it mean that remediation is planned and the review will assess the next steps?
Does it mean that actual remediation steps have been performed and will be reviewed?
What is the intended remediation complete date?
