Wifi not working

I'm having problems with my new router, wifi is so unreliable.
I tried phoning virgin but at least a 10 minute wait .
I'm considering moving to BT or Sky, anyone got any advice ?

Hi @Cgillies

You say you've got a new router - do you mean the Virgin Media Hub 3.0?

If it is this that you're referring to, then I'm sorry that you're experiencing difficulty with the WiFi.

What's the issue you're having with the wireless?
What messages do you get on screen about the connection when you're experiencing these problems?

If you could let us know, we will be in a better position to offer some assistance.

I mainly use my iPhone and iPad in the house and the connection keeps going down with the wheel spinning - I've checked the hub and the green lights are all on,
Now having problems with my tv service , it's going down too - this is my 2nd hub from virgin , the first didn't work at all .

It sounds to me that you're experiencing a bit of wireless interference. Often changing your wireless channel will improve this. We've got a helpful article that will show you how to log into your Hub and make the changes. Please take a look at the article here - Changing the Virgin Media router's wireless channel / frequency when you get a chance.
