Wifi disconnecting or a second or two

Hi Guys,

I'm facing a very annoying problem with my broadband... When gaming or using Sky Go my internet disconnects for literally a second then reconnects. This doesn't seem to be a problem when browsing the internet however online gaming you are thrown out of the game due to connection issues...

This happens both wireless and through an Ethernet cable... apart from the disconnecting the internet speed etc is fine.

I spent over an hour last night on the phone to VM, I was advised my router settings were incorrect and a reset would solve the problem. After re-setting my router the problem still persisted (I was still on the phone) so I advised the VM employee who at this point was stumped so I was transferred to a 'Gadget help team?' explained my problem to a guy and then was cut off Smiley Sad

I'm hoping this is an easy fix as the last thing I want to do is spend another hour on the phone.

can you help please?

Re: Wifi disconnecting or a second or two

Posting some basic diagnostic info may help.

Navigate to the hub's GUI using http://192.168.100.1
Don't log in, click the Router Status button in the top right of the screen.
Copy \ Paste the Downstream, Upstream, and Network Logs.

Don't worry about the formatting, just obscure your IP and MAC addresses in the logs

Re: Wifi disconnecting or a second or two

Thanks for the information provided JakeBousfield and apologies for the connection fault experienced,

I've had a look into this and I'm unable to detect any faults either via the equipment levels or network segment at the moment.

Could you try retesting the connection if possible?

Speak soon,

Nat_J
