WiFi Super Hub 2

I have a Superhub 2 connected to a LAN via a Netgear Router and Netgear 24 o/p switch with multiple PCs, printers etc. all on fixed IP addresses. (only one o/p active on the hub so assume it is in Modem mode.)

Both WiFi freqs. on Hub are turned off.

Can I turn both these back on (to use with a laptop and Smart TV) and still maintain the LAN as is.

Here's hoping

Pete S.

Re: WiFi Super Hub 2

Hi Pete S,

I believe you can do this though you'll need to disable DHCP on the Netgear router and change it's LAN IP so it doesn't conflict with the Hub's LAN.

I don't have a Hub myself though so for more information on this I'd like to invite the Community to post advice.

All the best,

Re: WiFi Super Hub 2

Hi Jen

Many thanks for your reply.

I contacted the Virgin Media Help line and a man in the Call Centre in India set it all up for me over the net.

I now have WiFi and the LAN is unchanged, I can now use the Smart TV and Laptop independant of any cables connected to the LAN.
