Website Unavailable

Hi,

I'm an E-Learning Manager at a school. As of 00:00 last night I have had reports that my Academy's VLE has become inaccessible from BT (and possibly some other) ISPs.

Please could any Virgin customers check if they can connect to https://frog.dixonsaa.com ? Thank you. It is very much appreciated! If you could respond and let me know that would be great!

Best wishes,
Andrew Walls

Re: Website Unavailable

I have tried it on my Residential line and is timing out here. The same on my Business Line both provided by Virgin Media.

No https links work from the main website's domain. https://daa-cc4.dixonsaa.com also times out.

Re: Website Unavailable

Couldn't get any part of the website this morning.  Kept coming up 'Unavailable' no matter which browser I used.  Then suddenly, it was OK.  What was happening, anyone know?

Re: Website Unavailable

Hi polly43,

Apologies for any issues you've had with accessing a website (or websites). Tests of your connection don't reveal any obvious issues and your Hub is reporting no errors.

May I ask which website you were unable to navigate to, was it the one referenced on this thread (https://frog.dixonsaa.com)?

Or was the Internet itself not working for you?

Re: Website Unavailable

It wasn't me at all Jen. I knew that because everything else was working fine and I could access all other websites, including Googlemail.  Thank Goodness!  No it was Virgin - again!  Later on everything returned to normal. It would be nice if Virgin would acknowledge it was working on something and that their website would be down for a while.  Stick it up on a part of the site that was available; I don't know - something like that.  All seems fine now, except for a slight delay in loading the webmail page.  (I shouldn't have said that, it'll probably conk out again now!)   Smiley Tongue

Re: Website Unavailable

Hi polly43,

Ah you meant the Virgin Media website was down.

To be honest I wasn't aware that there was a problem. We did have an issue with webmail access but that seems to be working OK now.

Thanks for getting back to me, let's hope there are no further breakages Smiley Happy
