Virginmedia WIFI for Android

Hi

I have downloaded "Virginmedia WIFI" for Android from the Playstore.

I have installed it on a 5.1.1 tablet and it appears to work okay.

I then downloaded it to an incar Android device, running 5.1.1. This device is definitely NOT rooted.

When i try to install the app it returns "cannot install on a rooted device"

Can anyone supply an answer please?

Re: Virginmedia WIFI for Android

I think it means your in-car device is not an officially-approved Google device.

This might explain it -

Re: Virginmedia WIFI for Android

My device must be CTI compatible as it shipped with Play Store and a number of google apps preinstalled..

It is not possible to root this device as developer mode is locked out with a 2D code. I asked the supplier if it is possible to root it and even they could not overide the code.

Re: Virginmedia WIFI for Android

Sounds like a bona-fide device then. Better wait for the Forum Team to pick this up.

May be an idea to state the device name and model.
