Virgin Media Fibre keeps dropping

Hi all, new to VM and this looks a helpful forum, so here goes...

Our 100Mb broadband keeps dropping - maybe once every couple of days or so, so more frustrating rather than terminal. I do tend to find switching to 2G means I can pick up a connection, but of course that's not the point!

On reading a couple of posts, I've seen a suggestion to C&P some info from my router..

thank all

Re: Virgin Media Fibre keeps dropping

Your upstream power levels are quite high, but in spec. Do they rise over time?

Because that would fit the symptoms you are seeing.

Re: Virgin Media Fibre keeps dropping

Just post them again- in addition, set up a BQM

 HERE

Run it for say 24 hrs, and post the result.

Dont forget youll need to make sure your super hub is configured to reply to ICMP echo requests...

BQM.jpg

That will monitor WAN side for connection drops. It runs their end, you dont have to leave your computer on.

Re: Virgin Media Fibre keeps dropping

Hi dsmvmc,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop with regards to your drops in connection, I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I have run some tests from here and I can see that everything looks great! No errors or time outs inside the Hubs logs and all of the power levels are within the preferred ranges.

Are you still having these issues? If so, please respond to me here with a recent copy of your Hubs logs for me to compare with the data we have here.

When the connection drops, is there any noticeable change to the Hubs light sequence?

I look forward to hearing from you,

Thanks,

Adam.
