Anyone else not able to connect to Facebook? I can get on on my mobile phone using my data (with O2) but I can't get on when connected to the wifi on any of my devices?

web safe, child safe or some such may be blocking it. or something you've installed or selected .

what devices, specifically., and what error messages. via app or via a browser... there is so much you are not telling us...

Re: Unable to connect to Facebook on WIFi

If its any good to the conversation I could not connect to Instagram through my web browser on my desktop or on wifi through the app. The web browser finally worked but still can't access Instagram on wifi through app on my iphone. The only way to get around it was to run a VPN on the phone and connect to some other ip address in the uk so I could get the app to run properly on my phone.

Re: Unable to connect to Facebook on WIFi

Sorry,

I have a std pc, iPhone, iPad and all were working fine at 8.30 ish, went to make a cup of coffee now Facebook will not connect saying no internet connection. Speedtests, google, YouTube, all other websites are connecting - just Facebook and instagram (part of Facebook) won't connect on the WiFi but will connect using 4g.

No parental locks, no new downloads, no change to anything just suddenly stopped.

Re: Unable to connect to Facebook on WIFi

It's Virgin's DNS service. If you change your DNS to 8.8.8.8 (google public dns) on a given device you'll get in fine. I wouldn't waste time changing anything else, Virgin need to resolve it.

Re: Unable to connect to Facebook on WIFi

It's not the DNS. I use 8.8.8.8 and I'm on the Gamer service so theoretically no traffic shaping, however i'm getting Facebook connectivity issues on LAN / WIFI.
