My ancient Virgin superhub 1 has given up the will to live, I have contacted Virgin Media who have said they will send out an engineer to look at it.........in 5 days time!!!! 5 days with no internet great! Surely it would have been easier and cheaper for them to send me a newer superhub as this one clearly has died after many years of constant use.........maybe someone from Virgin can give me an answer?
Sorry to hear you've had trouble with your Superhub.
In most cases you'd be absolutely right; sending a replacement would be faster and cheaper. In this instance, it was better to send the technician.
The technician picked up on a few issues there that wouldn't have been resolved by simply replacing the equipment. By sending out the technician we can be sure that all the levels are as they should be and everything else is checked and tightened.
How did the appointment go? Is the new hub working okay?
