Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself

@rudaakis00

Your case is fairly simple. Downstream power is too high and should not exceed 10sBmv. To be safe it needs attenuation by at least 10 dB. A 10 dB forward path attenuator is available from ebay (seems to be expensive) or you can await the VM bods to get to your post in a few days time and they'll arrange an engineer to do the work.

Best that you start your own thread so that the VM bods don't take their time getting here because this is marked as SOLVED!

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself

Hi rudaakis00,

Thanks for the post, sorry to learn of your issues with your Super Hub resetting itself, this must be annoying so apologies for any trouble.

I've looked over things from this side and I can see a number of T3 and T4 time outs building up in the Hubs logs which would explain any drops in connection you may have been experiencing.

I'd like to arrange for an engineer to visit and get this resolved for you, I'll send you a PM (Purple envelope at the top) detailing what's required to proceed with making the booking.

Please respond to me there and I'll ensure this all gets booked and secured for you.

Speak soon,

Thanks,

Adam.

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself 2 september 2016

We keep getting the exact same problem so I'm guessing our router is on the way out.

We have been having connection issues from July onwards, here's the list...

2:27pm tue 5 july

5:35pm wed 13 july

3:00pm thur 21 july

2:33pm tue 2 aug

8:10pm tue 9 aug

11:47am fri 19 aug

9:01pm tue 23 aug

8:56pm wed 31 aug

5:05pm thur 1sept

I rang 150 today and spoke to a operator who said power levels were low and after a while and checking then said they are now all fixed.....

6:53pm 2 sept wifi is lost and everything resets to default, sigh.

Here's some details a few minuets after the router reset itself.

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself 2 september 2016

Hi seaskimmer,

A warm welcome to our Community!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Superhub.

Looks like it's a faulty Superhub to me. I've sent you a private message (purple envelope at the top right of your screen) so I can arrange a replacement.

Look forward to hearing from you!  Smiley Very Happy

Josh

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself

Hi

I've been getting this for about a year now. However, for the last 3 weeks or so it's been doing it daily, two to three times maybe. I have the settings saved in a restore file so it's not that difficult to fix. The problems are that I remotely log in to it from work but can't when it resets. The more pressing issue is that it comes back on with wifi enabled with no protection so anyone can hook up to it.

Was going to call support about this but the waiting drives me insane.

Will someone get in touch so that it can be resolved?

My package is 200mb + phone.

Thanx.

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself 2 september 2016

Hi Josh,

Came across this post whilst searching for the resolution to this issue myself. Seemingly happens at random, my hub is behind my tv stand so it's very frustrating when this happens as i have to rewire everything, and then change my username and password again and set up the ssid etc so that all my devices will connect. How can I resolve this?

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself 2 september 2016

Hi, I have the same issue, set the unit up so its personalised and next day it resets, I also get the issue where it loses the internet and I have to reboot. Need to get this sorted ASAP please I have lived with it for a year now but I need to be able to manage my wireless security better.

Re: Superhub keeps resetting itself 2 september 2016

Hey Revgolightly,

Welcome to the community Smiley Happy

I'm sorry to hear your hub is resetting itself and dropping your broadband connection. Could you try a factory reset first of all and test to see if things are any different after doing that please?

Let us know how you get on.

Kev
