Superhub 2 & Vivid200 dropping off 3 times a day.

I've been having problems with vivid200 & superhub2 dropping off both wifi and Ethernet connected 3 or 4 times a day for the last month. A hard reboot restarts it. Very annoying!!

log into superhub - 192.168.0.1 - DON'T SIGN IN, click router status - and post the downstream and upstream figures

Hey Jayro1001,

 

Welcome to the community Smiley Happy I'm so sorry to hear you're suffering connection drops at the moment, that does sound frustrating.

 

Are you noticing if any of the lights on the hub change when the connection drops? I've run some tests on the hub here and it does appear to be OK in terms of power level, timeouts, errors etc. I'm keen to know if the hub is recording a drop on the network or whether it just stops passing traffic to your devices.

 

I'd recommend popping the hub into modem mode to see if the drops still happen. Also consider setting up a Broadband Quality Monitor as this will keep track of any dropouts and can help provide a visual record of how often the problem is occurring and exactly what's happening on the network at the time.

 

If you're still suffering the problem just drop me a reply and pop that BQM graph into the post as well so I can see exactly when these drops occur and check these against the network for you.

Thanks Kev,

I called services on Monday and an engineer came out yesterday.

Loose cable in the green street box apparently. Told to phone services again if problem persists.
